Lac Marin d'Hossegor: wild beauty

Just a few kilometres from Les Maritimes, Lac d'Hossegor is a little haven of paradise where peace and nature combine. With its calm waters, natural landscapes and relaxing atmosphere, it's the perfect place to disconnect and take a moment for yourself. Whether you're into walking, water sports or just chilling out, this lake has something for everyone.

Explore it by kayak, paddleboard or pedalo to enjoy a different viewpoint and admire nature from the water. If you like fishing, this is also a great spot, with a wide variety of aquatic life. Meanwhile, if you prefer to stay on the shore, the shady beaches lined with pine trees are the perfect place to rest, picnic or simply relax in the fresh air.

The beaches of the Landes provide the perfect combination of relaxation, nature and ocean vibes. With their vast stretches of golden sand, impressive waves and unique atmospheres, they have something for everyone: : surfers, families and those who just want to relax on the beach.

• Plage des Casernes : a key spot for keen surfers. Here, the waves are abundant and the atmosphere is lively and energizing, ideal for going surfing or taking a stroll beside the ocean.
• Hossegor beach : chic and lively, known for its surf competitions and great waves, it's also perfect for catching a breathtaking sunset
• Navarrosse beach : With its shallow waters, fine sand and unspoilt setting, it's the perfect place for a family day out or to relax in complete tranquillity.
• Biscarrosse beach : Wild yet convenient, with wide open spaces and plenty of activities. Water sports, family outings or just lazing around: everyone can enjoy the ocean in their own way.

Contis lighthouse: our favourite viewpoint

At 57 metres tall, the Contis lighthouse is the perfect place from which to enjoy a truly magical view. After climbing the stairs, you're rewarded with an impressive panorama that takes in : the vast Atlantic Ocean, endless golden beaches and the wild nature of the Landes coastline. Whether at sunrise or sunset, this is the perfect place to breath in the sea air and be carried away by the beauty of the landscape.
 

Arthous Abbey: an historical treasure

Step back in time to the Middle Ages on a visit to Arthous Abbey, an historical treasure with sculpture and architecture ranging from Romanesque to Gothic. With its impressive architecture and peaceful atmosphere, this site invites you to discover a rich and fascinating heritage. Founded in the 12th century, the abbey is a perfect example of Romanesque art, with magnificent vaults, elegant architectural details and peaceful cloister.
